All chosen winner results are final. 3 days agoLIVE SHOWS RESCHEDULED UK Tour Dates RescheduledFormer X Factor finalist Jamie "Afro" Archer whose exciting new band ARCHER were due to embark upon a mini UK tour this September to promote their debut single "Insanity" have been forced to reschedule the shows after Jamie's brother, drummer Stephen Archer, sustained a dislocated wrist in a fall during rehearsals for the bands upcoming shows.The resultant injury has now put drummer Stephen out of action both on the UK tour and the final stages of recording on the bands eagerly awaited debut album, which is due for release early next year.Commenting on the rescheduled shows Jamie said "I'm really frustrated and disappointed that we can't go outand perform tracks from the new album as we had hoped to do so. We've been in rehearsals solidly for the last four weeks and just shot the video to our new single "Insanity" at the weekend. Most importantly Stephen is ok, he has been told by doctors to take plenty of rest."Jamie added; "The band are really sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. We will be back on the road soon and cant wait to meet our fans later in the year"ARCHER are expected to reschedule their UK tour dates for November/December. JAMIE AFRO (Lead vocals & guitars) along with band mates ANTHONY REED (Lead Guitar) and brother STEPHEN ARCHER (drums, percussion,backing vocals) will release their debut single INSANITY on Monday 3rd October. We will of course be keeping you up to date on the new confirmed dates as they come. 15.09.11 WHATS BEEN GOING ON? by Jamie.Hi friends,I haven't written a proper long update for awhile and the time has come. Me and the boys in the band (Stevo and Anthony) have been getting ready for the first single release. Did a RADIO 1 interview with the very funny Matt Edmondson. It goes out next Wednesday on RADIO 1 between 9pm and 10pm. Loved catching up with Jeff brazier the other day for the Channel 5 OK TV interview. Seems a lot of you saw it and the Jedward clip I did afterwards. Nice. Last week we filmed the official music video for 'Insanity'. In between that I flew into Egypt to do a show before racing back to the U.K. for more radio interviews!It's pretty manic at the moment. Not sure what I'm doing from one day to the next. Great though. Got a show at Cruise Night club in Chester on Saturday night. I'll be performing the new single 'Insanity' and some other tracks. Come join me. I'll be getting about ALOT more now rather than being hidden away in the studio. Which was kind of necessary. Everyone works hard these days and times are tough so let's get together for one hell of a party. You know it makes sense. Still doing tracks for the album in between everything else. We're going to be doing something pretty revolutionary (probably just in my head...). We're going to post up the demo's of the songs for the album. We want you all to hear them. We can't wait. We want you fully involved in the making of this album. Tell us which tracks you like - And which one you think should be the next single. You've heard me banging on about putting some proper music into the charts? We'll I need you in on this as well. Up for it???In the meantime, we'll be premiering the video for 'Insanity' very soon. But the good news is that all the dates are being rescheduled for as soon as possible after Stevo is back behind the drums and pounding out those fantastic beats again. Stevo will make a full recovery within the next 4-6 weeks. If you have purchased tickets already then they will be valid for the rescheduled date. Warch out for us putting up a clip of the gig, where the band are performing the new single. 03.07.11 ARCHER perform at Market RasenThe boys took to the stage at Market Rasen Racecourse. They have been getting rave reviews about their performance and were the shining act of the day. Click here to read the Market Rasen news article on the band. 29.06.11 LondonJamie, Stevo and Anthony will heading down to London to do the final full rehearals for the coming shows this July and August. The band will be also joined by Bassist Harry who has been busy learning all the tracks. 26.06.11 Miss GilbraltarJamie flies into Gilbraltar as a special guest of the Miss Gilbraltar 2011 contest. He performs the band's new single 'Insanity' live on Gilbraltar television which is also streamed over the internet. The presenters of the show said afterwards that in the 50yr history of the event, they have never seen the audience all standing up dancing away like they were. 22.06.11 New tracks for the live setThe band are rehearsing a fantastic new track of theirs called 'Breathe' and a great new version of the Faithless classic 'Insomnia. We have them playing both during rehearsals and they are sounding great guys. 04.06.11 Epsom Derby Day gigThe boys were the main live act at the Epsom Derby attended by the Queen. They performed a electrifying half set at the which included the new single 'Insanity' and 'Sex On Fire'. We were told by a good source the royal box was bopping up and down to the boys tracks as they performed in front of over 50,000 people. 03.06.11 Heading to EpsomBoys head down to Epsom this evening to get ready to sound check for tomorrow's big day.
